|Ah, vet recommendations. One of my cats has a few symptoms that I…|

Perhaps Dr. Pat Murtagh of Mobile Veterinary Services? (669-6134) He does house calls; in fact, they're all he does.
He doesn't do emergencies and obviously he can't do X-rays or advanced tests, but he's excellent for diagnosis and booster shots and such. Perhaps he can at least tell you whether or not your cat needs to be seen at a fully equipped clinic.
EDITED: Because I got his business name wrong. My bad.Edited at 2008-12-05 10:56 pm (UTC)
A house call would be ideal (this is the cat who is scared to go into the hallway outside the apartment, haha).
I think she may need x-rays actually (persistant cough), if so, would he be able to recommend a clinic?
Is he really nice? This is key. I had a really terrible experience with a Stonewall vet when I was pretty young, and now I get super nervous around them.
Yes, he'd be able to recommend a clinic if necessary.
I wouldn't say he's "really nice". Dr. Murtagh is... unique. He's an irrepressible little Irishman with a ready wit and a ready grin, but he's not exactly a sweetheart. If there's bad news, for example, he's not likely to sugarcoat it. He IS, however, very knowledgable and kind when it comes to dealing with animals.
Sorry to hear that you're handicapped when it comes to dealing with vets. :-) Best of luck to you and your little one.
Ok, it sounds like I could handle that. Thanks for the recommendation!
